Khulna Divisional Museum

The Khulna Divisional Museum is located at Shivbari, Majid Sarani in the heart of Khulna city. The museum was established in 1997. Under the control of the Department of Archeology, pottery of different eras, Hindu and Buddhist statues, inscriptions, terracotta plaques, ornate bricks, terracotta balls, terracotta beads etc. have been presented in this museum. There are also photographs of some notable archeological sites and historical buildings.

It is the second largest museum in the country in terms of size. The museum is displaying various archeological finds from different parts of the country, especially Barbazar in Jhenaidah, Bharat Bhayana in Jessore and Khanjahan Ali Mausoleum in Bagerhat.

In this museum, photographs of various traditions and famous people of the southern region of the country can be seen. Among them are World Heritage Shatgumbuj Jame Mosque, Noygumbuj Mosque, Ranbijaypur Mosque, Zinda Pir Mosque, Sona Bibi Mosque, Singara Mosque, Didar Khan Mosque, Anwar Khar Mosque, Ahmad Khar Mosque, Chillakhana, Khanjahan Ali’s house and Dighi. , Kotwali, Kalodighi, Bibi Gogini Mosque and Ten Dome Mosque including Greater Khulna, Jessore, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Narail, Magura, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Meherpur region. Apart from this, photographs of various important archeological installations across the country can be seen here.

Apart from photographs, the museum also houses various antiquities of Gupta, Pala, Sen, Mughal and British periods, various terracotta statues, Kasti stone statues, black stone statues, copper, iron, brass, earthenware and glass utensils, various metal weapons, various toys. There are thousands of years old specimens of different history, tradition and culture of Bangladesh including the greater Khulna region including various consumer goods, gold and silver coins of Mughal period.
